Artist Bio
Jonathan is a junior at Allendale Columbia School. He loves to travel, despite the fact that he has never been on a plane. Even without planes, he has managed to travel across the country from Rochester, NY to California and back. Jonathan loves movies, and in his free time you might just catch him watching some of his favorites: La La Land, The Revenant, Taxi Driver, and Midsommar. With his love of film, Jonathan is inspired constantly by the work of others; his favorite directors are Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese, Ari Aster, The Safdie Brothers, and Robert Eggers.
In his early years of middle school, Jonathan got his hands on a camera right away through digital photography classes. Since then, Jonathan has participated in many art classes, loving them all. Recently, Jonathan has begun his work on the college application process, which means he has started filming his short film: Ditto. In Portfolio Seminar, Jonathan has really been able to focus on pieces that have helped him to expand his knowledge of film techniques, editing, sound design, and more.
